How old must I be to drive a tank at Armourgeddon?
You must be a min of 16yrs to drive a tank. To drive the military vehicles, you must be 17 years old.
Are there any height or weight restrictions?
The maximum height to be in a vehicle is 6ft 4” or 193cm and the maximum weight is 22 stone or 140kg. There is a minimum height of 4ft or 122cm. No min height or weight restrictions apply to our other activities.
Can I come on my own?
Yes, many of our activities can be carried out as an individual. If an event requires more than one participant e.g. Tank Driving Taster, that’s not a problem as we can group individual customers together.
Do I need a driving license?
No, you don’t need a license or even any car driving experience in order to take part in one of our Tank Driving activities. For our Military Vehicle experiences, a driving license is preferred or at least the knowledge of how to drive a manual car.
What activities can I do if I’m disabled?

When do you operate your activities?
Our tank activities operate April-October each year on Saturdays, Sundays and selected Wednesdays. Woodland paintball, archery, air rifle shooting, clay pigeon shooting and quad safari activities are available all year round (subject to weather conditions). We operate group and corporate bookings throughout the week too!
How long do the activities last?
Don’t forget to allow time to visit our museum! We also ask that you try to arrive 30 minutes before your activity start-time.
What is a passenger?
Passengers can be added to any of our Tank and Military Vehicle Driving activities, allowing them to ride in the vehicles (and take part in the target shooting, depending on the activity). You can choose whether to book you passenger spaces in advance or pay on the day of the activity. Passengers must be at least 8 years old and the amount of spaces for passengers varies depending on the activity. The additional cost for passengers includes their access to the viewing area and museum. Please note that passengers do not get to drive the vehicles and their cost is in addition to the full paying customer(s) that is taking part in the activity.
Can I just come and watch?
There is a spectator’s fee payable for entry to the viewing area, but this includes access to the museum too. Under 5s are free!
Do you sell food and drinks onsite?
Yes, we have a limited choice of filled rolls, confectionary, drinks etc. that can be purchased on the day. If you have a group of 10 or more people please ask to see our catering list which offers hot food, buffets, etc. that must be booked in advance.
What should I wear for my activity?
We will provide you with overalls and a helmet but alongside this we advise that you wear comfortable, casual clothing that you won’t mind getting muddy. It is also sensible to avoid clothing with external chains, large tags or hanging parts that could get caught. Footwear wise, we recommend wellies, sturdy walking boots or shoes that can cope with lots of mud.
When should I arrive for my activity?
We ask that you arrive 30 minutes before your activity is due to start. This gives you time to fill in our paperwork and sign in any extra passengers or spectators. You should then be ready to start your activity at your allotted start time.
I wasn’t happy with my activity, who can I talk to about this?
It’s always best to raise any queries you may have on the day with our dedicated Events Manager. This gives us a chance to resolve any issues before you leave. If however you discover something after you leave please email us via our Contact Us page and explain how you’re feeling so that one of our staff members can help you.

What are your office opening hours?
Our office is open Mon-Fri 9am-5pm. It is closed on weekends and Bank Holidays.
Do I need to book?
Yes, all of our activities need to be booked and paid for prior to the day.
How and when should I book my activity?
We advise that you try to book your activity at least 4 weeks in advance if you have a particular date in mind.The quickest way to make a booking is to call us on 01858 880 239; our office is open Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. Absolutely! Group bookings are one of our specialties. We offer a number of different packages tailored specifically to your group size and budget. As well as our usually weekend activity days, we also offer weekdays for group bookings. I have a gift voucher from an experience day company, how do I redeem this?
Please call us on 01858 880 239 or email us via our Contact Us page. We will need to know your voucher/serial/pin numbers and voucher expiry date as well as your preferred date(s) for the activity. To make a booking we also require your name, telephone number and email address.
Do I need a gift voucher to make a booking?
No, you can make a booking directly with us without buying a gift voucher. Please call us on 01858 880239 to check availability and book. Please note that you will need to pay for your activity over the phone.
How do I purchase a gift voucher?
Vouchers can be purchased on our website; you can choose between Postal Vouchers and eVouchers. An eVoucher will be emailed back to you immediately whereas a postal voucher will be sent out in the post to you and will include an A5 presentation pack. For postal vouchers, a postage and packing fee applies.
I have ordered a Postal Voucher, when will it arrive?
This depends on the shipping option that you purchased. Please see our Delivery Information page for details on delivery.
My gift voucher is going to expire soon, what should I do?
Gift vouchers purchased directly from ourselves can be extended for 12 months for a £20 fee. The voucher must be in date at the time of extending the voucher. If you purchased your voucher from an experience day company, their rules can vary – please call the particular company that provided your voucher and they will be able to advise you.
When is the Museum open?
The museum is open from April to October on weekdays 10am-4pm and weekends 10am-5pm. Please contact our office for requirements outside of April to October.
