It’s here again! That date when you have to find the witty, fun, exciting perfect gift for your dad. He has more socks and hankies than he will ever use, 3 spare pairs of slippers, more gardening equipment than Alan Titchmarsh and hammers than Handy Andy. So, what do you buy for Father’s Day? Look no further. The present fairy is here!

After the age of 18, men become simply the hardest people to buy gifts for. Sure they don’t mean to be hard to buy for, it just happens. Enough slippers sat in the back of the cupboard to last for the next 20 years, smellies to clean an army in the wardrobe and plenty of bottles of the favourite tipple awaiting the next party sat in the kitchen cupboard.  But you still want to say a big old THANK YOU to your Dad. Thanks for listening, thanks for the pints, thanks for not making me pay for smashing the greenhouse, thanks for having the kids overnight, thanks for being my taxi for 21 years basically a big fat thank you.

There aren’t many Dads out there who wouldn’t love the idea of at least one of our activities. An experience voucher for Armourgeddon would be grateful received by anyone with even a passing interest in tanks, engines, driving, adventures, guns and cannons, shooting stuff, noise, mud, the outdoors, things to take them away from the DIY, the garden or the shops, and most of all, spending time with YOU.

If your Dad fits into any of these options, then we have perfect experience vouchers for you. If it’s shooting that’s his favourite activity, we have Archery, Air Rifle Shooting and Woodland Paintball activities running on site. For tanks, there are a variety of options from a tank taster experience, through various military vehicle driving experience days to our favourite activity; Tank Paintball Battles. If it was good enough for the legendary Hoff as a gift from his daughters, surely all Dads would love it!

The Armourgeddon Tank Paintball Battle is a unique experience here at Armourgeddon. We are the only location worldwide to run this activity, due to the ingenuity of the Armourgeddon founder, Stuart Garner. Stuart took a chance 18 years ago that mounting an air cannon that could shoot giant paintballs to the top of an FV432 tank would work. Well, the 25 cannon mounted FV432s that now make up the Armourgeddon fleet suggest that he was right!

If it’s a Tank Paintball Battle that you buy for your Dad, then his tank instructor will, first of all, drive him around the track in his 3-man crew. From there, each of the team members will take it in turns to drive around the track here at Armourgeddon- an old WWII bombing ground, first with the hatch open, and once the controls have been mastered, the lid will be closed and he will drive just using the periscope to view the outside world emanating battle conditions on this track circuit.

Next us is static shooting practice. The three-team members will each take a turn at loading and priming the cannon, aiming and firing the paintballs, using static targets to shoot at.

After a break for a team talk, some battle strategy and a quick cuppa, it’s back to the track and into battle against another crew. The tanks will race to 4 stop spots. At each stop, the cannon team will aim and fire 3 paintballs at the opposition. The winning team is the crew who makes the most direct hits out of a maximum of 12.

Buying a voucher could not be simpler. Just give us a call and we will talk you through the options or purchase online at https://www.armourgeddon.co.uk/activity-gift-vouchers.html. Does the Dad you are buying for have a Son over 8? Then try a Adult & Child experience. Dad drives whilst his passenger laughs at his mistakes from the turret seat (this one’s not just for boys, Dads or Mums and Lads or Daughters just isn’t quite as snappy a title!) Or a taster session at just £75 where Dad learns to drive the tank across our WWII bombing range, in control of an FV432 tank driving first with the hatch open and then in battle conditions.

So there it is. Finally there is a Father’s Day gift that doesn’t need to be painful or tedious. A voucher that he is not likely to leave in the drawer like the Zorbing voucher that ran out of date two summers ago or the Segway safari that never got used! One call, an email confirmation and we’ll even send you out a voucher to give to your Dad if you want one. Or, better still, we can just book the date for you straight away. With the museum on site to keep kids and adults alike entertained for hours, you can all come along and watch the activity too.
