We run kids parties year round here at Armourgeddon. As most kids are waterproof and undeterred by the cold and wet, when it comes to birthdays, we are too! We run parties on Sundays through the summer months and on Saturdays in the winter months.
We split the group in half and the first half head over to the shooting range here on site for sniper training. They are given Tippmann 98 Paintball Markers and a whole load of paintballs. After a talk about health and safety, not shooting your friends and certainly not your instructors, the group is taught to aim and fire their first 20 rounds. They then have a second round of shooting practice aimed at the target mannequin. Third round is their scoring round- with each direct hit scoring points depending on where it lands. After each child has shot about 60 paintballs free hand, and the scores are tallied, the groups switch over and onto the other activity.
For those who have completed the sniper shooting, it’s onto one of our MJP Troop Carrier Bedford trucks. The Bedford has 6 Tippmann 98s in fixed positions pointing outwards to save paintballs to the back of the head! Each child takes their place by a paintball marker fixed to the side of the truck and holds on tight. Firstly, the Bedford takes a tour around the fields with instructors pointing out the targets they will be shooting at: wooden cut outs hiding behind obstacles, in trees, under or in oil drums or behind fallen tree trunks. The Bedford then heads into one of the 8 paintball zones on site- never in use for live paintball games when we have kids parties on, although this is much more for the safety of the paint ballers than that kids attending the party!! The instructor will load the paintballs and make the markers live for shooting and then it’s game-on! The second trip through the paintball zone is in battle conditions with the kids shooting as many targets as they spot- never the quietest of troops; the whoops and cheers can be heard back at base when a direct hit is fired.
A mini competition is run where each child takes the fewest possible shots to hit a target twice- once in the head and secondly in the body to complete the activities.
Back at the museum it’s time for bragging and discussion on who scored what and when before the instructors crown the champion of the day based on the highest individual sniper score and the winner is presented with a prize.
We can cater for up to 10 kids (a maximum of 2 more can be added at an additional charge) includes the activities outlined above plus entry to our 50 vehicle strong museum with many interactive activities and exhibits for the children to enjoy. We have a barn area where you can get a cup of tea and some refreshments whilst you wait for the kids to complete their activities and you can provide food and cake for your party as well as the obligatory party bag!
Sign' em up at an early age! Now the children get their turn in an ex-military vehicle!
After a passenger ride around the track on the back of the Bedford MJ the kids will use the semi-automatic paintball guns fitted to the side of the vehicle. With the help of an instructor they will shoot at targets laid out in the paintball wood. While half the party are out on the truck, the other half will participate in Sniper Training. This involves practice shots at 'Frosty' our friendly sniper. After the practice session the children will be scored on their last shots. The winner overall will get a prize!
