Battle of Villers-Bocage model at Armourgeddon Museum

Michael Wittmann (1914-1944), born in the Bavarian village of Vogelthal, won the coveted Knight’s Cross with Oak leaves and Swords. He was considered one of the greatest if not the greatest exponents of the art of armoured warfare in the modern era. In part, this was due to his actions in the infamous battle for Villers-Bocage. We have been donated a fantastic replica of Wittmann's tank in situ. Read this weeks blog to find out more about Wittmann and this remarkable battle.
