In this action-packed activity, your instructor will transform your team into an elite tank crew, greasing the gears of paintball warfare. Not only will you each learn how to drive a tank, but you will also take on an opposing tank, firing giant paintballs from the cannon!
Upon arrival, you will all be kitted out with tank suits (if needed) and helmets to get you ready for combat. Following your safety briefing and a short history lesson about the FV432 tank, you will take it in turns to drive 1 lap of our track. At first, you will drive with the driver’s hatch open, giving you the chance to become accustomed to the track and the controls. Then, your instructor will close the hatch so that you can practise driving in battle conditions, using only the periscope to see the track.
Once your nerves have settled, it’s time for some target practice. Master the art of aiming the 40mm cannon fitted in the turret of the tank and then test your speed and accuracy in the loader’s position.
After discussing your battle tactics, it’s time to get the adrenalin pumping and make your crew proud, taking on the enemy in a Tank Paintball Battle! Who will drive? Who will load? Who will aim and fire? By far our most popular activity, Armourgeddon is the only location worldwide to run Tank Paintball Battles.

I was bought a voucher for my birthday and we went as a group the instructor was friendly and knowledgeable about the vehicles and their history. They were surprisingly easy to drive and we had a great day. The paintball element was great – trying to race into a firing position and get a hit on target. Afterwards we took some time to take a look round the museum which has a good and varied collection of exhibits. All in all well worth doing and I would be happy to return for another go. Booked for the tank paintball, opportunity to drive a ???tank??? and then fire paintballs at your opponents in a drive and fire battle. My to sons 17 & 21 had a brilliant time and the whole experience was 10 times better than they could have imagined they were buzzing from it. Small downside was when i booked it was suggested to make time to look at the museum on site and that spectators were welcome it was going to cost ??8 per person so and extra ??24 was steep and there was no concession for the grandparents who came as it was their gift to the boys.I think the cost needs to be mentioned out of curtsy. Managers note : There is a small admission fee for spectator/museum which is mentioned on our website and in all booking confirmations. I was also very surprised to see so many tanks all warming up as there must have been about 8 or 10 out on the field that day. I had never considered driving a tank. However, I was given a voucher for my birthday and decided to book the tank paintballing experience. I was nervous initially as I don’t know one end of a tank from the other! What a great day I had. Dave the trainer was fantastic. He explained the health and safety rules and took us through a guided tour of the tank. I sat in the turret for the first lap and then I actually drove it, firstly with the lid up and then with the lid down. We then had a practice with the paintballs. We then had a break to talk tactics for the forthcoming battle. This also gave us the chance to eye up the opposition. For the battle itself I was in charge of aiming. I was pretty poor as we only scored 5 hits out of 12! It was exciting though and Dave???s shouting added to the experience! On finishing, photos were available to buy which are a great way to re-live the experience at home. I met 2 lovely people who shared the tank with me and my husband was able to watch from the viewing area. Thank you to Dave for ensuring that I had a day that I wont forget.

I received a birthday present of an Armourgeddon gift voucher. I chatted to family and friends and five others decided to join me.So on a bright Sunday morning we took off from home and arrived in plenty of time for our slot. The staff were welcoming, and after signing our disclaimers we had time to walk around the museum. I was able to tell war y stories of my time repairing the “pigs” and “sarrycans” in the 70/80s. Off then to get into some NBC suits to “keep clean” and then into our AVF for play time. I was in with my son and daughter and we each took a turn in driving then the loader and aiming positions. We all did well and decided who was to take what roll in the up coming shoot out against my brothers AFV. Driving parallel to each other, we fired 12 rounds each from 6 stands. 10 hits, Yea, have we won? Nope, Bruv had scored 10 also. So with honers even, we debused, changed clothing and went to see our photos which are of a very high quality. Back home for a pub dinner and to put the feet up. We came here for a Stag Do and it did not disappoint! The staff were incredibly helpful and did not hesitate to answer the multitude of questions before the day on the phone. We were allowed to bring in items to shoot (a Stag prank we setup) and the staff all played along, claiming to know nothing of the items mentioned. Having the drive around was a great experience; even through the weather got very wet during that time it, in my opinion, made the experience feel more authentic. While you wait your turn you get to enjoy the ride from the top of the tank. The actual drive was both different and expected; pedal for going but levers for the tracks. The only way to describe it is to try it yourself! As for the battle, having the other tank turn its turret towards you from the view of the tiny hole was both terrifying and exhilarating; just watch out if you’re in the back operating and firing if the driver puts his foot down! An amazing experience and will most likely go again.

Amazing good clean fun……paintballing tank battles ! The real army tankies that do this for a living have my total respect it is incredibly hot cramped noisey claustrophobic and – with all the lids down – virtually blind. And in a real battle there are a multitude of weapon systems aiming at you that will ensure your chances of going home in one piece for tea & medals are slightly less than good. This, all too brief, experience rams home just how brave ( mad !) real army tankies have to beto serve their country. PS an excellent pub for food is The Bell Inn, Gumley.

A great day out. We had Alex as our instructor and what a great guy he is. After we all had a turn at driving, targeting and loading we had a short break to plan the battle tactics. In the battle that followed we got 8 strikes out of 12 shots, so well done our team. There is also the museum with a Sherman and other AFVs. Highly recommended.

Had the most fantastic day! We came for a stag do, did the Tank Paintball Battles, as well as air rifle shooting and archery. The instructors were clear, friendly, and enthusiastic, and it was a thrilling experience to drive the tanks and learn how to load, aim, and fire the gun. The staff were extremely helpful throughout the booking process, responding quickly and thoroughly to all my questions. Everyone had an amazing time, I highly recommend Armourgeddon for a great day out!

Probably the best Fathers day present I have ever had! Connor was a great instructor, the rest of the staff were very friendly and professional. Everyone gets a go at all the aspects of the battle from driving, loading and firing. The museum itself has some real gems if you’re into tanks like I am, well worth a look.The only criticism I have is the photos are ??20 and supplied on a disk. I would of paid to have them emailed to me (cheaper?) as I don’t have the facility to use a disk anymore. But all in all a great experience and I can fully recommend it! Glen

Accompanied by my Daughter and Son, as well as my Grandson, we took the Tank experience on 3.11.18.Our Armourgeddon rep. was Cameron.I have to admit I was rather hesitant about the day as my Grandson is only nine years old…BUT..i had no worries at all once Cameron took over. The guy was simply brilliant. Without exaggeration he made our day. He was so patient, and encouraged my Grandson who was understandably nervous about the whole experience and helped him throughout the entire two hours we were engaged on the 432. He was VERY professional while at the same time putting us all at ease and ensuring we had a great time. My Grandson loved every second of it all. In this age of take your money and goodbye it was a pleasure to meet someone so committed in helping us all to have a great experience. Many thanks Armourgeddon. We will come back in the new year and do it again. As an ex Tanky myself from a Family of ex Soldiers I appreciated his efforts on behalf of my Family members. From a personal point of view i really enjoyed talking to the owner of the Mark 9 Chieftain of which I served on as a gunner in the Blues and Royals in Germany in the seventies. It made my day. Bought the tank paintball battle voucher for my boyfriend who loves tanks and all things military. Very impressed with the staff when we arrived, my boyfriend loved the entire experience and couldn???t rate it highly enough ! He is determined to return in the future. The only thing I was disappointed with was as a spectator you had a limited view of the field they were on. And I think there should be better photograph options too. As you could only buy all the photos taken for ??20. But my boyfriend did the experience with 2 strangers so I didn???t want to buy the entire disk. It would have made a nice momentum of the day to be able to buy a small photo/keyring of just my boyfriend. Or just buy one singular photo of the amount taken. Maybe this is something to implement for the future?But otherwise, very impressed and so was my boyfriend!

Who wouldn’t want operate a tank! You get to drive, load and fire rounds in a tank!! The time just flies by when you’re involved the operation of the vehicle. A way to play paintball without getting hurt unless you hit whilst yourself moving around the tight spaces. At worst you’ll get mud on your footwear.

Absolute Blast! Would highly recommend!! We did the tank paintball battle as a group of three and were all in the same tank. You take it in turns to be in each of the positions (Driver/Loader/Aimer) and have a practice at each. Once you have all had a go you move into the battle part of it and shoot large paintballs at another tank around a course!! A huge amount of fun at a really good price. Our instructor Chris was brilliant. Will Definitely be doing it again and would highly recommend.

I’m very happy to write a review. I’ve done quite a few experiences (paragliding, off road driving) and this was really up there with the best. It lived up to and exceeded our expectations. We had an enthusiastic instructor (Callum) who did a great job in briefing us. He gave us a potted history of the vehicle and how and where the army has used it. We enjoyed the training in all three roles. It feels great romping round the track in a 15 ton tracked military vehicle with the engine roaring. The battle scenario was well thought through to maximise the enjoyment whilst keeping us under competitive time pressure at all times, adrenaline pumping. We all really enjoyed it. Winner stayed on so we got a second battle although this doesn’t always happen apparently. Just do it!!

Fantastic day out, really loved driving the tanks. Alex was very enthusiastic and made sure everyone got involved. I only have 1 dispointment and that’s we were not expecting to have to share our experience with another group of people so when it came to purchasing photos I only wanted the one image that had me and my partner on it and was told I couldn’t purchase individual images. I paid the ??20 for the lot and now have pictures of people I don’t know so I’m unable to display them around my home. That being said the day was fantastic and I had loads of fun.

Great experience! We did the tank paintball battles so got three battles i.e. one in each position. Highly recommend this option as it’s only ??30 more than one battle and gives you three times the fun! Was worried that “gun loader” would be the boring job but was actually very enjoyable!

Absolutely brilliant. I bought this experience for my dad but of the day I was able to ride as passenger! Matt was such a great instructor and made it really fun! The paintball battle was nerve racking but amazing. It really helps when the crew are so friendly! I would recommend this experience so much! Defiantly would go again!Also the museum on site is really good and my 4 year old niece was in her elements looking at all the tanks and playing with the gadgets. Overall it was a fantastic experience – not fault at all! Thank-you again!

My 2 sons and I had a great time. the event took about 2 hours but the actual battle only took about 15 mins. The instructor was very good and explained everything. Only downside was we didn’t know that my wife had to pay ??6 for a visitor. Otherwise would recommend it. They even had a museum to go through.

None of this is expensive . You have a captive audience in between tanks and all you have JENGA on the tables ??? raise your game you would not regret it . Happy to advise

My wife bought the present as a Christmas present and as she joined me for the day she became a passenger who also thoroughly enjoyed it even though she couldn’t drive she enjoyed being able to take part and look out of one of the turrets plus fire some paint balls at the targets. I for one enjoyed it the most by having the chance to drive it in and out of the tank seat and really enjoyed the battle where we definitely won 9 to 8.

As the best man I organised this for the stag. We were a group of 6 so had 2 tanks of 3 in each. It was such good fun driving around the track before it was time for the battle! Somehow it was a draw at 11 out of 12 hits each although I???m pretty sure I got all mine on target! Would definitely recommend the tank paintball as well as the museum afterwards.

It was my sons eighteenth birthday surprise, the day was really good, it started off with a look at the museum which was larger than we thought and very interesting. The tank driving instructor Louie was funny and welcoming and joined in with the micky taking and banter, the 2 hour stint seemed as though it lasted only 30 minutes which shows what a good time was had by all. Even the 2 hour journey there and back seemed well worth it, I would recommend doing it again.

Thoroughly amazing, adrenaline pumping day! We visited on a Stag party for 11 guys in July 2016 and had an epic time in the Tank paintball battle experience in 3 of the APCs. Booking was easy though must be done early. A massive adrenaline boost as you bounce around a course with the hatches first open so you can see the world, then battened down so you’re driving in the dark looking through a letter box. We also had 2 passengers in our group, and they got to sit up top as we rode around. After some practice on the shooting range with static targets we battened down the hatches and turned the paintball cannons on each other in the paintball battle. The instructor commander Louie (great guy who had excellent banter and took us through the controls), shouting commands to try and land hits on our mates opposite. The museum was also well worth a look, particularly if you have an interest in military paraphernalia, with a range of tanks you can get up close to.

What a fantastic experience this is, driving a tank and firing paintballs. You get to drive the decommissioned tanks around a set course whilst two people load and fire the paintballs at another tank!!! The instructors are very friendly and helpful although at team briefing it all gets serious as you prepare for battle. The site also has archery, normal paintballing and driving experiences. There is small outlet to purchase hot drinks and a pork roll. With all places like this there is a photo opportunity for you to purchase your happy memorys. This is a great day out at a good price. We went 2 weeks ago, for a 50th birthday . great fun as a team we all got a chance to aim, Fire, and Drive a tank. With the excitement of battle conditionsour instructor Sean was excellent and really added to the days experience top wear Boots /wellies plastic bags for the boots and a change of foot ware for the car the bell is a great pub to get a pie and a pint great fun nothing like this. What an awesome day, This was a spur of the moment purchase for me, the wife and 2 teenage daughters to do something different and it didn’t fail to impress. From the museum (which is stacked full of all sorts of military vehicles plus a damn helicopter!!!), the tank driving, the target practice and the tank battle….we were all pumped full of adrenaline still on the way home.
