This experience is perfect for parents to spend some time being laughed at by their son or daughter. If that appeals, as long as the child is over 8 years of age (there is no upper age limit,) then this is the activity for you! Upon arrival, you will both be issued with tank suits and helmets and after a safety briefing and some history about the FV432 tank that you will be learning to manoeuvre, it’s time to get going!

Firstly your instructor will drive you around the track and you will both sit up in the turret seats enjoying the thrill of heading into the pits and peaks of our track from high up at the top of the tank.

After a lap of the track, you will park up at the target practice position- no not the cows, but the bulls eye target board and two tanks in the middle of the track. You will both learn to charge, load, aim and fire the 40mm air cannon fitted to the turret of the tank from battle position. The question is; who will be the best shot?

Next up it’s the adult's turn to drive. Once the controls have been mastered, it’s a lap with the drivers hatch open followed by a lap in battle position with the drivers hatch closed seeing the track merely through the periscope.
The Adults and Child experience isn’t like a Yorkie Bar, it can be for the girls too.

Absolutely fabulous experience. Booked for my sons 8th birthday treat. I’m not sure who enjoyed it most my son or my husband. We purchased the official photos so we could remember the experience in years to come.

My son and I enjoyed a great parent and child session with our instructor, Mick, who was very friendly with clear instructions and advice.

Working as a team to rotate the turret and fire the paint balls at the parked targets was great fun. Sadly, only the parent can drive the tank, which is a shame, as I assume no driving license is required and my son would have been thrilled to get behind the controls on the off road dirt track. None the less, he had a thoroughly good time.

The museum is very well laid out with lots of tanks and equipment to browse up close. A nice and relaxing way to start and finish the session.

Highly recommended.

Bought this for my husband and son but also paid extra for my daughter to join them. They all loved it! The instructor was really friendly and they had a great time. The tank museum is also well worth the visit.

Amazing birthday experience for my 10 year old son and for us as a family. The Armourgeddon team were fantastic from start to finish. I would highly recommend their adult and child tank driving experience.

Your husband or wife just tells you what they want (but always be aware of the ‘Oh no, I don’t NEED anything this year…..!' Ha! As if!) Your kids will have had the Argos book out and circled for weeks, maybe months ahead of time. But Dad? Now that’s a different kettle of fish.
