At Armourgeddon, we’ve always known our tanks were something special. From adrenaline-fueled tank paintball battles to unforgettable outdoor adventures, our historic fleet has given thousands of visitors the chance to get behind the controls of real military machines. But did you know that our tanks also have a life beyond the battlefield? That’s right – they’re movie stars! Our latest Hollywood adventure sees one of our FV432 tanks taking a starring role in the upcoming blockbuster Warfare, set to hit cinemas on April 18, 2025.
If that wasn’t exciting enough, the Armourgeddon team didn’t just supply the tank – we were on set for eight weeks, working with the film’s cast and crew to bring this military epic to life. And the best part? You can come and see the very tank used in Warfare right here at our on-site museum!
Armourgeddon: Where History Meets Action
For those who don’t know, Armourgeddon isn’t just a tank-driving experience – it’s a one-of-a-kind destination for military history enthusiasts, thrill-seekers, and now, movie buffs too! Based in the beautiful Leicestershire countryside, we offer a range of exhilarating activities, including tank experience days, military driving experiences, offroading, paintballing and more.
But it’s not just our hands-on adventures that set us apart. We also house a fantastic Military Museum packed with military vehicles, and the UK’s largest collection of World War II memorabilia, and fascinating wartime artefacts. And now, our museum has something extra special – the FV432 tank that played a key role in Warfare, transformed into a Bradley tank for the big screen!
Lights, Camera, Tank Action! Armourgeddon’s Role in Warfare
So, what exactly was Armourgeddon’s role in Warfare? Without giving away too many spoilers, this upcoming film is set to be an action-packed, high-octane war drama featuring intense battle scenes, heroic feats, and – of course – some serious armoured firepower.
The film itself is based on the real experiences of Director Mendoza, during his time serving in the Iraq war as a U.S. Navy SEAL. The film follows the SEALs on a surveillance mission in insurgent territory in Iraq, which sadly goes wrong. Our FV432 was selected for the film and underwent an incredible transformation to become a Bradley tank, the kind used by the U.S. military.
For eight weeks, our team was embedded on set, operating the tank in key battle sequences and working alongside the actors and crew to ensure the vehicle was used authentically in each scene. From collaborating on explosive action shots to navigating tough terrain for those dramatic war sequences, it was an unforgettable experience for all involved.
We’re not strangers to the movie business, either. Back in 2014, one of our tanks was used in Brad Pitt’s WWII blockbuster Fury, and more recently, our Stuart tank featured in National Geographic’s WWII From Above. Plus, our venue and museum were showcased in ITV’s Tonight – Series 27, Episode 7: War, Would Britain Be Ready?, where it served as a powerful backdrop for the presenter discussing modern-day military preparedness.
